Jameis Winston Hosts Annual Famous Jameis Jamboree to Provide a Christmas for 20 Deserving Kids

In celebration of the holiday season, Tampa Bay
Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston played host to 20 kids for his third
annual Famous Jameis Jamboree in partnership with Bill Currie Ford last Tuesday. The
Famous Jameis Jamboree is a community outreach program of Jameis Winston’s
Dream Forever Foundation. The kids who got to spend the afternoon with Jameis
were selected by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay – Nuccio Center for
their good grades and positive attitudes.
The day began by Winston meeting 20 deserving
kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay – Nuccio Center for a fun
Christmas-festive day that Jameis had planned for the kids. Mixed with fun,
laughter and smiles in between, Jameis and the kids then headed to Busch
Gardens Christmas Town where they visited the zoo attractions, played arcade
games, rode roller coasters and visited Santa Claus.
After a fun afternoon at Busch Gardens Christmas
Town, Jameis and the kids headed to Ford’s Garage where they had a nice dinner
and Jameis had one last surprise for the kids. In the spirit of the giving
season, Jameis gave each kid a Nike gift bag which included an Xbox, an Xbox
video game, Beats headphones and a Tampa Bay Buccaneers football.
It was a rewarding and fun-filled day as Jameis provided
a Christmas experience for the deserving youth and shared the message to always
believe in yourself and to dream forever. In an effort to maintain Winston’s
personal mission of encouraging achievement in the classroom, the participants
have traditionally been selected as a reward for their hard work and academic
excellence.

he Famous Jameis Jamboree was launched in 2015,
where ten teenagers selected by United Way joined Winston at One Buc Place to
take part in a Christmas celebration. Later the same evening in 2015, Jameis
hosted a toy drive at Bill Currie Ford.
In 2016, Jameis hosted six kids from the
Buccaneers Academy for a holiday dinner and surprised the kids with gifts.
Following spending time with the six kids, Jameis attended the second half of
the Famous Jameis Jamboree where he invited the Tampa Bay community to One Buc
Place. In exchange for a free and fun night of Christmas activities, he asked
the community to bring a unwrapped toy that was then given to deserving kids who
participate in Buccaneers Academy.
